Ignite Presentation learner response

  •  Excellent, clear opening outlining topic and text. A little nervous but solid structure to opening.
  •  Presentation is very well put together - excellent use of images and clear planning/rehearsal.
  • Middle section loses track a little and becomes a bit repetitive regarding representations.
  • Discussion of book and movie is interesting but potential to take this much further and discuss Hollywood stereotypes, commercial pressures etc.
  • Age certification is relevant but again not enough depth to this discussion or consideration of institutional issues.
  • Good to see media theory supplied but needs quite a bit more depth to these discussion to take this to A2 level. An important point for critical investigation.
  • Ending is nicely judged but would have liked to see more on wider impact on society/social context. Where do these stereotypes come from
  • Q+A - Good opening question and relevant to debate. Answer is solid but lacks a little depth. Addition to question regarding media is important but no real opinion offered - need to change this for critical investigation!
  • Question on nationally is interesting - is this an American thing? Worth exploring this further.

Content 3/5
Clarity 3/5
Presentation 3/5
total: 9/15

WWW: Within my presentation, i think throughout the slides i was clear on what i talking about and gave a good overall view about the movie to the audience.

EBI: I could have went in more depth about the age certification and media theory. I could have also picked up on institutions.

From this presentation, my critical investigation wold need a greater focus on media debates/theory and including my opinions in depth. I am going to be annualising wider texts about how teenagers are being represented - both nationally and locally. In addition, i will be discussing everything i did during my presentation but in much more depth and looking at the issues from a wider perspective.
